I immensely enjoy helping a student open up the doors to knowledge. I have a specialty in teaching reading. Former educational consultant for Critical Thinking Books; critiqued and field tested K and 1st grade phonics materials. I have given workshops at educational conferences about incorporating critical thinking into phonics and reading,as well specific critical thinking strategies to use throughout all content areas. I have worked with gifted children as well as children with learning differences including dysgraphia and dyslexia. |
| Hobbies: | I enjoy reading, learning new things,and crafts. I am a mother to 8 children, with all different learning styles and achievement levels. I am patient and will use many different strategies to help your son or daughter learn how to learn, which is the most important skill one can acquire. |
